That’s why, in this article, we’re looking at the Remington RM4216 Rebel, and the Remington RM4620 Outlaw. Both of these gas chainsaws are exceptional, but depending on your needs and desires, one of them is the better choice.

Today, you’re going to figure out which of these two gas chainsaws is the right chainsaw for you.

The Remington RM4216 Rebel

When you pick up the Remington RM4216 Rebel out of the box, you’ll notice it weighs 22 pounds. As gas chainsaws go, it is lighter than most. This gives you an advantage when it comes to mobility and making your experience a bit easier.

Then, you’ll probably notice the filter, as well as the spark plug. Due to some very nice design, these two features are accessible without the need for any tools.

One of the big problems that most people have with gas chainsaws is that they aren’t always the easiest to maintain. This is because they often require certain tools to access the basic components. But, unlike those other gas chainsaws, the Remington RM4216 Rebel is a very simple machine.

As for the handle, it has a five-point anti-vibration system. This means that when you’re using the chainsaw, the vibrations from the motor won’t affect your grip or the quality of your cutting. In terms of comfort, this means a lot. Some gas chainsaws lack this feature – or a similar feature – and this can be very annoying and uncomfortable, making the process of actually using the chainsaw annoying.

To turn it on, you need to pull on the main cord. This chainsaw uses “Quickstart Technology” so this process is quick and relatively effortless.

Finally, this gas chainsaw is quite powerful. It does a very good job doing what it does, thanks to the 2-cycle engine. This engine also has a sixteen-inch kickback bar.

Now, the Remington RM4216 Rebel isn’t meant for bigger jobs and more heavy duty work. Instead, it’s meant for the average homeowner. If you want to cut smaller branches, to slightly larger branches, you can easily do so. But, if you want to cut large branches and big pieces of debris, then that’s going to be a little more tricky.

Ultimately, if you want a simple gas chainsaw that has all of the basics, then the Remington RM4216 is great. Assuming, of course, that you’re only going to be using it for, primarily, simple purposes.

Jobs such as trimming down large trees, big pieces of yard debris, and many other things.

To carry the chainsaw around, you have a nice carrying case that the chainsaw comes with. Most gas chainsaws don’t come with a nice carrying case, so this is a nice little addition.

Final Words

With those basic features considered, there isn’t that much of a difference between the two chainsaws. One of them is designed for smaller jobs and more home-based work, while the other – the RM4620 Outlaw – is designed for bigger jobs.

To answer the question of “Which one should I choose?” you need to consider what kinds of things you’ll be doing with the chainsaw.

If you’re going to be chopping up big pieces of debris and doing bigger jobs, then the Remington RM4620 Outlaw is a far better choice.
